This new house, designed by Anderson Orr Architects and built on former Agricultural land came with a brief to maximize the extensive views of the Chiltern Hills.
Our solution creates a seamless flow from formal garden to wilder areas, employing both perennial and annual meadow mixes to link the inner garden with the distant landscape. A 40m perennial walk links in scale to the wider landscape, whilst formal and informal tree planting provides shelter from wind and sequences the views from the house.
